Bellona was developed from a fragment of an early indigo wax resist design. The Colefax design studio has created a lively trailing repeat capitalising on the individuality of the leaves and motifs. Bellona is painted in an appealing watercolour technique that softens the bold scale of the design and brings interest to the monochromatic colour ways. The herringbone ground cloth, first used for Cassius, helps to add depth and texture.
